Sleepmachines are a band that plays songs written and arranged by Matthew. It varies in number from time to time. Presently, we mostly play with a string section, accordion, saxophone, drums, singers and Matthew’s guitar.
We are in the midst of recording one E.P. of material dating back years and another filled with new songs. We started in a barn but fell behind on the rent. Also, it was very cold. Now it’s being done at various centrally-heated houses of friends.
We often play gigs and will happily travel to your town just so long as you can help out with the petrol/train money.
Matthew's email address is sleepmachines@gmail.com.

A song called "A Good Sleep is Not One in a Courtroom". I was astounded by growing up when I wrote it; both my own personal growth and that of all life on planet Earth. The song is a mini-chart of both those histories. Also, I had just seen my best friend from primary school for the first time in years and was horrified to discover that he now looked exactly like Rod Stewart.
