You will need, my selections,
you can download them here. Included
in the zip is the face.psp, the hair.psp, and the tile I have
used
Let's
start!
Remember
to save often!
1. Open a
new image 341x460 transparent. Add a new layer, call it dress1.
Selections>Load from disk 1.sel. Flood fill with the tile
included in the zip you downloaded! Selections>Invert and
then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow with these settings:
Colour black
These settings will be repeated during most
of the tutorial, with changes in blur and colour.
2.
Add a new
layer call it dress-detail1, Load from disk 2.sel. Flood fill
with white. Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change the blur to 5 and
the colour to #C0C0C0. Deselect
3.
Add a new
layer call it right leg. Load from disk 3.sel. Flood fill with
#FECBAE Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change the blur to 25 and
colour to #E4AB90. Deselect.
4.
Add a new
layer, call it left leg. Load from disk 4.sel Floodfill with
same colour and repeat the same for this layer! On the same
layer Load from disk 5.sel Flood fill with #FFD6C0, deselect.
On the same layer again. Load from disk 6.sel Flood fill with
#DE9C7A Deselect
5.
Add a new
layer, call it neck. Load from disk 7.sel. Flood fill with #FECBAE
Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change the blur to 15 and
colour #E4AB90. Deselect.
6.
Add a new layer, call it right arm. Load from disk 8.sel. Flood
fill with samme colour,Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above. Deselect. On the ame layer,
Load from disk 9.sel Flood fill with #DE9C7A Deselect.
7.
Add a new
layer, call it right sleeve. Load from disk 10.sel. Flood fill
with #7C77BB. Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change blur to 22 and colour
to #433F7D. Deselect.
9.
Add a new
layer call it right cuff. Load from disk 11.sel. Flood fill
with the same colour. Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change blur to 10,2 Deselect.
10.
Add a new layer, call it hair back. Open the hairback.psp that
was added in the zip. Edit>Copy, then close it again. Re-open
your image. Load from disk 12.sel, then Edit>Paste>Into
selection. Then the back hair should be on its right place.
Deselect.
11.
Add a new
layer, call it left sleeve Load from disk 13.sel. Flood fill
with #7C77BB. Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change blur to 22 and colour
to #433F7D. Deselect.
12.
Add a new
layer, call it shirt. Load from disk 14.sel. Flood fill with
the same colour. Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above. Deselect.
13.
Add a new
layer, call it dress. Load from disk 15.sel. Flood fill with
the dress tile. Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change the blur to 45 and
the opacity to 65, colour black.
14.
Add a new
layer, call it dress-detail2. Load from disk 16.sel. Flood fill
with white. Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change the blur to 5 the
opacity back to 100 and the colour to #C0C0C0. Deselect.
15.
Add a new
layer, call it collar. Load from disk 18.sel. (have not any
17 I must have jumped over it) Flood fill with #7C77BB. Selections>Invert
and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow with the same
settings as above, but change blur to 15 and colour to #433F7D.
Deselect.
16.
Add a new
layer, call it dress-details3. Load from disk 19.sel. Flood
fill with white. Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change the blur to 5 and
the colour to #C0C0C0. Deselect.
17.
Add a new
layer, call it ball. Load from disk 20.sel. Flood fill with
#FF0000. Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change the blur to 15 and
the colour to #A60000. Deselect. On the same layer Load from
disk ball highlight.sel. Flood fill with white. Deselect.
18.
Add a new
layer call it left arm. Load from disk 21.sel. Flood fill with
#FECBAE Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change the blur to 22 and
colour #E4AB90. Deselect. On the same layer Load from disk 22.sel
Flood fill with #FFD6C0. Deselect. On the same layer Load from
disk 23.sel Flood fill with #E3A98D. Deselect.
19.
Add a new layer call it left cuff. Load from disk 24.sel.
Flood fill with #7C77BB. Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change blur to 10,2 and
colour to #433F7D. Deselect.
20.
Add a new
layer call it head. Load from disk 25.sel. Flood fill with #FECBAE
Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change the blur to 20,5
and colour #E4AB90. Deselect.
21.
Add a new
layer, call it shadow. Load from disk 26.sel Flood fill with
#E8B69E, Deselect. On the same layer Load from disk 27.sel Flood
fill with #FFD6C0. Deselect Lower the opacity on this layer
to 80.
22.
Add a new
layer ball it ear. Load from disk 28.sel. Flood fill with #FECBAE
Selections>Invert and then Effects>3D>Effects>dropshadow
with the same settings as above, but change the blur to 10 and
colour #E4AB90. Deselect.
23.
Add a new
layer call it cheeks. Load from disk 29.sel Flood fill with
#E89587 Deselect.
24.
Add a new
layer, call it highlights Load from disk 30.sel Flood fill with
white, Lower the opacity on this layer to 90.
25.
Add a new
layer, call it face. Open the open the face.psp. Edit>Copy.
Then close it again. Re-open your image.Load from disk 31.sel
Edit>Paste>Into selection. Then the face should be in
the right place!
26.
Add a
new layer, call it hair front. Open the open the hairfront.psp.
Edit>Copy. Then close it again. Re-open your image.Load from
disk 32.sel Edit>Paste>Into selection. Then the hair should
be in the right place!
27.
Go to Layers>merge>merge
visible, and then with your retouch tool add som shadows on
the shirt and the dress with these settings
