Flemish Working Woman

Above you can see my construction notes, To the left is my little working woman wearing smock, kirtle and gown. To the right she is wearing apron and partlet aswell. If I think this is really fun, I might make a doublet and one of those black partlets, but I try not to make too big plans for this costume right now.
I highly prefere middle class clothing before the upper classes. Sewing something with unsufficient amounts of fabric is so much more of a challenge (and it is more realistic when it comes to my economy aswell)
Around the Internet, there are so many people who has made the costumes of 'flemish working women'. I love them. They are so beautyful and simple. So - I am going to make one some day.
