This site

was initially made because I wanted to share my photos from Gotland with those who might have an interest in them.

Every person becomes what he or she is by numerous factors. The things that has led me to make this site are my second visite to Gotland in june 2001, an interest in history and culture, (especially norwegian and native american), an overly active imagination, a strong, crafty upbringing...and the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.

I will bore you with a brief history if you wish me to. (Don't be fooled. It's not really brief.)

This years festival

was a fantastic experience from start to finish! I travelled with my family but also brought an archery mate with me and we had so much fun I was soaring the whole time! I was given all the time I wanted to explore all its facets, and we also spent some hours at the local archery range. Gutars Bågskytte who owns the range was kind enough to let us shoot as much as we wanted for a very modest price. We found everything we lacked for our costumes at the fair, which was abundant with all sorts of stuff medieval and viking!

Only bummer was that I managed to forget the cable to my digital camera at home. So I had to take all my piccies at the lowest possible solution and I had to choose the medieval stuff over family piccies in order to make the folks who couldn't come with us this year happy.

New piccies from the festival here!
