Actually, I am also a Ph.D. student at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Department of Materials Technology and Electrochemistry under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Techn. Nils Ryum.
(I failed to finish before my funding ended. So, now I am a researcher in the daytime, a family father in the evenings and a Ph.D. student 1/2 hour per day)
The university is situated in Trondheim, the 3rd largest city in Norway. (There are only small cities in Norway, though...)

I was born an raised in Hareid. If you ever go there, don't miss the svele on the ferry.

The aim of my Ph.D. work is to investigate some of the possible advantages of using Scandium in Aluminum alloys. This is still a fairly unexplored field of research. Some useful information about this topic, addresses to people working in the same field and a list of most of the english literature available can be found in this document.
